How We're Different

Fence-first.
That's the whole difference.

Every generalist agency will tell you they "specialize in home services." What they mean is: they have a fencing client, a plumbing client, a roofing client, and a garage-door client. We work with local trades broadly, but fence is our focus. We built the systems for fence first, then applied them to related outdoor trades. That focus is why our systems are opinionated, our reports are honest, and our advice is specific.

What we're not

The four kinds of vendor that keep fence owners frustrated.

Odds are you've tried one or more of these. Here's why the results were disappointing.

The general marketing agency

Handles fence like it's a lawyer, a dentist, or a coffee shop. Runs templated campaigns with generic copy. Doesn't know that "shadowbox" and "board-on-board" are different, or why homeowners in one county want cedar and in the next county want vinyl.

The franchise marketing program

Big fence franchises hand you a corporate marketing package - locked-down website, corporate GBP rules, no control over your ads. Great for franchise consistency. Terrible for growing your specific location's revenue.

The one-tool vendor

An SEO-only shop. A GBP-only shop. A CRM-only shop. Each does one thing and hands you off to nobody for the rest. Your leads leak in the gaps between vendors and nobody owns the outcome.

The "we do everything" web agency

Builds a beautiful site, disappears after launch, and if you ask about SEO or ads they upsell you to a "premium package." They own the design tool, the hosting, and the domain - so you can't move without starting from scratch.

What we are

Six differences that show up every week.

  1. 01

Fence-first, works for any local trade

Fence is our focus and where the systems started. Deck, hardscape, tree, roofing, landscaping, and other outdoor trades work too because the buyer journey and Map Pack dynamics are the same. If your trade isn't a fit, we'll tell you honestly.

  2. 02

We own the whole stack, not one slice

Website, SEO, ads, GBP, CRM, and reporting - all under one roof. When something breaks, one team fixes it. When leads leak, one team finds the leak. No finger-pointing between three vendors.

  3. 03

    Flat monthly, no percentage-of-spend

You pay one flat monthly based on your revenue size and the services you use. No percentage of ad spend, no per-lead pricing, no upsells hidden in the fine print. If we recommend more ad spend, it's because it produces more booked jobs - not because we make more money.

  4. 04

Your accounts, your data, your name

Website domain in your name. Google Ads account in your name. GBP in your name. FastQuote data yours. If we ever part ways, you keep everything - no ransom, no lock-in, no starting over.

  5. 05

    Reconciled reporting

Every month, one PDF that ties leads to booked jobs to revenue. No vanity metrics, no impression counts, no "reach" without reach-to-money math. If a channel isn't working, the report says so and what we're changing.

  6. 06

We don't send the first invoice until you land the first job

Onboarding, setup, first campaigns, first pages - all free until you close the first job attributable to our work. This isn't a discount. It's how confident we are that the system works. Read the pricing page for the details.

The comparison that matters

Generalist agency vs. Fence Branders.

Generalist agency

Wide net, shallow water

  • Handles 30+ industries, treats fence as one of many
  • Templated content that reads generic
  • Ads set up like they're for lawyers or dentists
  • Percentage-of-spend billing (their upside from your budget)
  • Website often built on their private platform (lock-in)
  • Reports that show impressions, reach, click-through

Great fit for a business too small to hire in-house and not specific enough to need specialist help.

Fence Branders

Narrow lane, deep expertise

  • Fence-first, extends to any local trade
  • Real research per county, no templated content
  • Ads structured around how homeowners buy fence
  • Flat monthly - our upside is your growth, not your budget
  • Standard tech (WordPress or Next.js) that you own outright
  • Reports reconciled to booked jobs and revenue

Built for fence owners who want to grow past word-of-mouth and want to see the math.

Questions we get

The things fence owners ask before we start.

Do you take on non-fence trades?

Yes. We work with all local trades. Fence is our focus and where the systems started, but they translate cleanly to deck, hardscape, tree, roofing, landscaping, and other outdoor trades. If you're an indoor specialty (HVAC, plumbing) we'll be honest about fit before we take you on.

Do you work exclusively in one region?

No. We have clients across the country. Fence marketing works the same way in every state - the underlying math and mechanics are identical. What varies is county-level content, local codes, and specific weather concerns, all of which we research per client.

Will I be one of 200 clients?

No. We deliberately keep our client count low so every business gets real attention. This is why we're picky about who we take on - we can only do great work if we can actually do the work, not delegate it to junior staff.

Are you a franchise or corporate program?

No. Fence Branders is independent. We work with independent fence contractors who want to own their marketing and grow it on their own terms. If you're inside a franchise system, we can still work with you in most cases - the specifics depend on your franchisor's rules.

What's your one client cap or minimum?

No cap on revenue size. We work with fence contractors from single-truck operations to multi-crew operations doing eight figures. The pricing scales with revenue tier so we're a real fit at every stage. See the pricing page for the tiers.

What if we're already working with another marketing vendor?

Common. Most of our clients came from another vendor. We do a real audit of what's there, tell you honestly what's working and what isn't, and design a transition plan that doesn't tank your rankings during handoff. Sometimes the answer is a hybrid for a few months while we phase in.
